IRMA (Internationalization Resource Management Application) is a website dedicated to the translation efforts for the Linspire operating system and various Open Source projects. People from across the world can use IRMA‘s simple interface to perform translations without the cumbersome technical challenges that are typically associated with translation efforts.
Some of the challenges of translating software are of course cost, but also the troublesome task of working on text files that must be encoded so that all characters in every languages are displayed correctly. Much information is lost between moving these files from one machine to the other, opening them in different text editors, and changing character sets from one to the other.

What will I be translating?
You may choose to offer translations for the Linspire Operating System and/or Open Source Software such as CD ripping utilities, text editors, instant messenger, tutorials, etc. IRMA lets you to select what you want to work on.
